Proaquatix Macroalgae
Macroalage can have numerous benefits to almost any tank. Within our disease-free systems, our algae recieve 12hrs of a light each day with optimal water quality/flow. Orders are pulled from these systems the day of shiping and sealed in plastic bags. We carry the following species of macroalgae:

Chaetomorpha: Chaetomorpha is commonly used within aquarium systems for uptake up nutrients/nitrate. Other than relatively quick uptake of nitrogen, Chaetomorpha is a great candidate for nutrient export because it won't attach to rocks, pumps, etc. It is also less likely to undergo sexual reproduction than other similar macroalgae.

Ulva lactuca: Ulva is a thin green leafy algae that can be used within refugiums for export of nutrients. Although Ulva can handle both high and low light conditions, for optimal growth, all of the algae should get some light each day.

Gracillaria: Gracillaria is another macroalgae with many benefits for a tank. Many fish, such as tangs, will feed on Gracillaria.

Enteromorpha: Now classified as Ulva, Enteromorpha will thrive in tanks with adequate lighting and medium to high nitrate levels.

Compatibility: Berghia will ignore other reef invertebrates and corals, and is ideal for coral reef aquaria. There are no reported cases of predation on Berghia.

Food: Proaquatix specimens have been raised on a strict diet of Aiptasia tissue, and will continue to prey exclusively on Aiptasia anemones.
