Golden Dottyback
Description:
This dottyback occurs in three colors: yellow, olive, and brown.
Natural Ecology:
Pseudochromis fuscus is a carnivore of worms and other small invertebrates.
Indigenous To:
Range extends from India to the Solomon Islands, northward to Taiwan, and southward to the Great Barrier Reef.
Behavior:
This species is aggressive towards conspecifics and other species within their territory.
Compatability: Usually ignores corals and most invertebrates. They may attack tiny shrimps, but are useful to curb the proliferation of bristleworms.
Food: Proaquatix specimens have been weaned to take aquarium pellets and flakes. Freshly frozen invertebrates such as ocean plankton, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and chopped squid will be readily accepted.
