Blue-striped Dottyback
Description:
A black-colored dottyback with two blue stripes running across the head.
Natural Ecology:
Pseudochromis springeri is a carnivore of worms and other small invertebrates.
Indigenous To:
Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Behavior:
This species is one of the least aggressive species in the genus.
Compatability: Usually ignores corals and most invertebrates. They may attack tiny shrimps, but are useful to curb the proliferation of bristleworms.
Food: Proaquatix specimens have been weaned to take aquarium pellets and flakes. Freshly frozen invertebrates such as ocean plankton, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and chopped squid will be readily accepted.
